A serious and credible study

  • In 2017, the independent geotechnical and environmental consulting services firm Golder Associates updated the Air Quality Emission Modelling study to complete the application for an environmental permit, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. The objective of this analysis was to model the potential impact of the cement plant’s overall operations on air quality, especially for the neighborhood. (Air Quality Emission Modelling Study Aug 2017).

Conservative assumptions, reassuring results

Even though the assumptions used were conservative, which means that they used the least favourable weather conditions, the results showed that the performance of the proposed facilities responded to and complied with Ontario regulations as to air quality. In other words, Golder concludes that there is no impact exceeding the applicable air quality standards.
